Muffins with Moms/Donuts with Dads




On Wednesday, May 27th, Mrs. Arndt's Kindergarten Class hosted Muffins with Moms/Donuts with Dads. Each child presented their parents with special poems and interesting answers to questions about their parents.

1st Graders Honor Their Moms










On Wednesday, May 6th, 1st Grade students made breakfast for their moms. This has been a yearly tradition for at least ten years.

Track Meet












On Friday, May 8th, third and fourth grades participated in a Track & Field Day. They competed in various events against Davenport and Congerville Elementary Schools.

Author's Tea


On Friday, May 1st, Mrs. Fisher's 2nd Grade students hosted an author's tea. Parents were treated to a poem and story written by each 2nd Grader.

Grandparents' Day












Goodfield Elementary School celebrated Grandparents' Day on Friday, April 24th. Grandparents were treated to refreshments and getting to visit their grandchild's class.

All Aboard


On Friday, April 17th, Mrs. Logue's First Grade class went on a field trip to the Discovery Museum in Bloomington. Then they boarded an Amtrak train for a trip down to Lincoln to coincide with their Transportation Unit.

On Thursday, April 16th, the Eureka High School Drama Class presented skits to the students at Goodfield Elementary.

National Reading Week





Mrs. Goodman planned a "Library Spirit" Week to celebrate National Library Week. Some of the activities this week included: On April 14th, Storyteller Pattie Erwin visited Goodfield Elementary and shared some wonderful stories. On April 15th, fourth graders shared their favorite library books during "All School Read".

New or Gently Used Board Games Needed


In an effort to replace some of our old board games, and add new, Mrs. Arndt and Mrs. Logue creatively decorated the bulletin board in the foyer. Along the tail of the kite are different game titles. Parents can then come in and pull a game off the tail that they would like to donate to the school.
